They are absolute specialists in extreme sports. For them, there are definitely no limits. And so, for 30 years now, the team behind "Nuit de la Glisse" (French: The Night of Gliding), known for its unique winter sports films, has been constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible, true to the motto: "Only the sky is the limit." Their film series "Nuit de la Glisse" now looks back on its 30-year history with the new film "At the Very Last Moment."
The film begins with a recap of the most breathtaking moments from the past ten years of "Nuit de la Glisse," before delving into the world of sports action with new footage. In search of new, snowy areas that were difficult to find in Europe due to a winter with little snow, the team even traveled to western Greenland, a place isolated from the outside world and untouched by humans. Extreme weather conditions and glaciers as far as the eye can see. In addition to these shots, the film also shows footage of mountain bike downhill in Chamonix, street skateboarding in Annecy, surfing and BMX riding, as well as wingsuiting and speedriding through the Mont Blanc massif with the best athletes these sports have to offer. Among many other extreme athletes, it is bike trials pro Danny MacAskill, surfing legend and world record holder Garrett McNamara, and pro skater Joris Brichet who put their stamp on "At the Very Last Moment."
