The LA Police Department realizes that a series of daring truck hijackings in the middle of California's highways could only have been pulled off by true professionals. The cops suspect the gang behind the crimes is led by street racing legend Dominic. To catch the car-nappers, undercover cop Brian O'Conner infiltrates the illegal racing scene. Contrary to all plans, he befriends Dominic and falls head over heels in love with his beautiful sister Mia. The lines between passion and duty quickly become blurred.
